Echinodea (The Second Book of the Atlantis Revolution)

A Magical Lantern That Could Reveal Atlantis...
A Family He Knows Nothing About...
A Secret That Could Steal His Throne

"This is Jocasta," her voice echoed so loud and clear that I was sure the entire city could hear her.  "For those of you who do not already know, I am the most powerful sorceress alive today.  I speak to you on behalf of the Knights of the Abyss.  Today's attack is only the beginning.  If you want safety, consider aligning with the Knights.  Anyone who does not join us is against us.  And if you wish to keep things as you have known them, then you need to put pressure on your Prince.  A revolution is in order."  Her mercury eyes locked on me; poison flowed through my veins.  "Heed this warning," she spat.  "If the Prince does not relinquish his throne, all will be revealed."

The Knights of the Abyss are still causing chaos in Atlantis.  They threatened that if Trey Atlas doesn't relinquish his throne, they'll light the Echinodea--a magical lantern that could expose the island to the entire world.  But if Trey steps down, the Knights would take over Atlantis and destroy everything it stands for; including erasing Trey's mysterious past.  So there's only one option--get to the Echinodea before the Knights of the Abyss.

While on their search for the Echinodea, Trey and his Royal Court meet someone who claims to have the information Trey seeks about his biological family.  But the key to the mystery isn't what he hoped it would be.  It turns out that the secret in Trey's blood could steal the very throne he fights to protect.

Happy 15th Anniversary to Me!

It just sank in that I'm celebrating my 15th Year of Writing!!!  Here's a visual timeline to celebrate and share my writing career thus far!

Years and Ages represent when I wrote the book (not when it was published)

Hippocampus (Seahorse Edition)???

How do you feel about a special "adult" edition of Hippocampus?  This special "Seahorse Edition" would be the same book but would feature a cover more likely to appeal to older readers.  This edition would be in addition to the one that's on sale now (with the illustrated cover).  Would you be more likely to buy the "Seahorse Edition" than the illustrated version?  Please weigh in with comments to let me know how seriously I should consider marketing an "older reader" edition.

Oh, and here's a rough draft of the proposed cover for the special "Seahorse Edition" of Hippocampus.  Let me know what you think about the proposed cover as well.

Updates

I've been pretty quiet recently for a number of reasons.  The first was the fact that I was busy finishing the school year.  Second, I ended up in the hospital with stones and infection in my gallbladder and small intestine.  I had surgery a week ago and I'm on the road to recovery.

Now that it's officially summer vacation for me, I will be putting a lot of time into my writing.  In fact, it'll once again be my primary focus.  So I figured I'd update you on my writing plans for the summer.
Goal number one is to finish writing Echinodea (Book Two of the Atlantis Revolution).  I hope to have the book finished by the beginning of August.  The second goal is to work with Veronica Jones, the illustrator of the Atlantis Revolution, on the cover for Echinodea.  If all goes as planned, work on the cover should begin at the end of June.  I hope to release the cover in late August.  I also plan to start work on book 3 in August (at the latest).

So as you can see, it's going to be a busy summer for me.  And for you, well you should expect updates about The Atlantis Revolution throughout the summer, especially relating to Echinodea.  The official summary is scheduled to be announced on July 2nd.  That announcement will also include the publication date.  The cover should be revealed in August.  And I hope to even have some sample chapters available for you before the end of the season.

So if you haven't already done so, pick up a copy of Hippocampus (Book One of the Atlantis Revolution) for some great summer reading and get ready for all of the excitement as we continue to build up to the release of Echinodea (Book Two of the Atlantis Revolution).
